Backplane complies with PICMG 2.30 spec

Elma Bustronic Corp. announces the CompactPCI PlusIO Backplane, which is compliant to the latest PICMG 2.30 specifications. The 8-slot version in a 3U height board is the first in the series planned by the company.

The PICMG 2.30 specification expands the backplane with serial point-to-point connections for high-speed data transfer via PCIe, SATA, USB or Ethernet. The board offers 1 CompactPCI PlusIO system slot, 4 CompactPCI PlusIO peripheral slots, and 3 legacy slots. It has connections for 4 x USB2, 4 x SATA, 4 x PCIe, and 2 x ETH.

The backplane comes in a 3U height with a 12-layer stripline design using standard FR-4 PCB material. It supports rear I/O.

Pricing for the CompactPCI PlusIO Backplane starts under $1,500.00 depending on volume and configuration. Lead-time is 2-4 weeks ARO.
