The XC9263 and XC9264 series devices from Torex tout an internal high-side/low-side driver transistor, input voltage range of 3V to 18V, and output voltage from 1V to 15V, accurate to within ±1.5
Torex Semiconductor has introduced the XC9263 and XC9264 series of synchronous step-down DC/DC converters engineered for industrial equipment and large household appliances. Offering 500mA of output current, the devices incorporate an internal high-side/low-side driver transistor, have an input voltage range of 3V to 18V, and boast output voltage ranges from 1V to 15V, accurate to within ±1.5%, detailed the company.
The XC9263 series offers PWM control, while the XC9264 series automatically switches between PWM and PFM modes based on the output current requirement. Converters achieve efficiency of 85% or higher at IOUT of 1mA. Switching frequencies of 500kHz, 1.2MHz or 2.2MHz are available to match application requirements. A soft-start function is set internally at 1ms (typical). It can also be adjusted by using an external resistor and capacitor.
Other device features include overcurrent limiting, short-circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, auto reset, thermal shutdown, and a power-good function. Both the XC9263 and XC9264 series offer a choice of SOT-25 and USP-6C packages.
