The UXM Wireless Test Set is integrated with Sequans' Monarch LTE for IoT platform to support the testing needs of NB-IoT and enhanced Machine-Type Communication Cat-M1 customers.

Keysight Technologies has signed an agreement with single-mode 4G LTE semiconductor supplier Sequans Communications, which will see Keysight use Sequans' Monarch LTE for IoT chip platform to provide support for NB-IoT and LTE-M customers using Keysight's E7515A UXM wireless test set.

The integration assures customers that they have their test needs covered for IoT deployments and are in compliance with 3GPP standards, according to the companies. Danny Kedar, vice president of Sequans' IoT business unit, said, "while the two technologies are deploying at different rates around the world, with LTE-M, a priority in the USA, and NB-IoT, the priority in Europe and Asia, it's important that testing solutions support both."

Satish Dhanasekaran, president of Keysight Technologies' Communications Solutions Group, said the company's "network emulation solutions provide scalability and the capabilities needed to support design and test from initial requirements to formal conformance."

Keysight has also partnered with the Ixia Solutions Group for its T5510S emulation system. The system, which combines Keysight's UXM network emulator and Ixia's Wave Test System, provides simultaneous cellular and Wi-Fi cellular signalling tests, including full protocol stack, from layer 1 to layer 7, for multi-mode devices.
